Just Begin Again

You know those weeks when you can't stay on track?
It might be your meditation practice, walking regimen, gym time. Or that time you set aside to write. Maybe it's your promise to yourself that you will stop eating so much bread (I'm clearly projecting).
Whatever it is, it's not frivolous. You'd been doing it. And it actually means something to you. So you can't understand why you keep dropping the ball.
I think it has something to do with being a human being.
I recently fell off the horse on my qigong practice. Climbed back on. Feels like home.
So, if it's one thing I want you to know is that it's normal. It's fine.
Just begin again.
Take all of that punishing emotion out of it.
Let go of the self-judgment.
Give yourself a break.
Just get started again in whatever way you can.
That one small first step is all you need.
