About Me

Hi! I'm Stephanie Lewis

I’m a certified mindfulness and qigong instructor, a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach, a retired managing attorney, a family caregiver, and the founder of LiveWellFlow. I’m also co-President of the Mindfulness in Law Society. Threaded through all of these roles is my own mindfulness practice.

I came to mindfulness at a time when stress and burnout had taken a real toll. Like many people I now work with, I was moving through life under significant pressure, pushing through on autopilot, and losing touch with what my body and mind were trying to tell me. In time, I realized that the pace I was keeping was not sustainable.

Mindfulness became an important turning point for me.

Over the years, meditation, qigong, and other restorative practices have helped me relate differently to stress, expectations, and the internal pressure that can build in demanding seasons of life. These practices have supported me not only personally, but also in my years as a practicing attorney, in family caregiving, and in navigating life’s inevitable challenges and transitions.

My approach is grounded, practical, and compassionate. I’m not interested in offering quick fixes or asking people to step away from meaningful ambition or responsibility. I’m interested in helping people build awareness, develop supportive practices, and create a more grounded way of living and working, one that is better able to hold the realities of a full life.

I know how easy it is to live for long stretches of time without much space to pause, reflect, or reset. I also know that small, steady practices can make a meaningful difference. Mindfulness can help us see our patterns more clearly, loosen the grip of stress and reactivity, and create more choice in how we respond.

That is the heart of my work.

Whether through classes, guided practices, seasonal offerings, or private coaching, I aim to offer support that is thoughtful, steady, and rooted in real life.

If you ever have questions, you’re welcome to reach out to me through the Contact page.

Warmly,
Stephanie

More Kind Words About Stephanie

"Stephanie was an invaluable health and wellness coach for me. She presented me with questions, resources, and homework that I found empowering and productive. She is a great listener and synthesized my thoughts and feelings in a way that made things crystallize for me. I realized how much control I have over my own life choices. I am better at taking the time I need for myself so I can be a happier, healthier "me" which makes me a better mother, wife, and friend. I am responsible for my own happiness and I feel like I have the tools to achieve it now. Thank you Stephanie!

"Stephanie has an excellent workshop facilitation style with good pacing.  She encourages participation and doesn't overtalk, allowing silence and reflection between points.  She does a great job of selecting and editing content and mixing talking, activity, and partner sharing.  She also curates excellent workshop topics and resource persons."

-Rebecca

"I have found Stephanie's meditation sessions extremely beneficial.  It has been such a great touchpoint in a time of great uncertainty and angst for so many of us.  She has an energy and a way of speaking about mindfulness that is simple but very impactful.  Her guided meditations create a space to deeply relax and let go, and it's always a different and supportive experience to practice with others.  It is positive, uplifting energy. I look forward to the sessions."

-Kellie

"Stephanie's meditation sessions combine thoughtful discussions of a variety of mindfulness activities with a guided meditation that uses that day's approach. I both enjoy these sessions and learn more about ways I can address stress in my life.  Her patience with, and support of, our efforts to create a practice reinforces the importance of being kind to ourselves.  I find these sessions an oasis of calm in an otherwise stressful world.  Thank you, Stephanie!"

"I’ve had both the joy and privilege of working with Stephanie on several occasions, including most recently when she moderated the Women’s Bar Association of D.C.’s program, “Power & Pressure: Navigating a Government in Transition with Resilience.” She did an incredible job guiding the conversation - her calming presence makes you feel as though you’re sitting across from a good friend, enjoying a cup of coffee together.

Stephanie has a special combination of warmth, wisdom, and professionalism. She not only keeps discussions flowing with ease and insight but also has a genuine way of caring for others and wishing the very best for everyone she meets.

She’s selfless in how she supports and connects people, and I’m personally grateful for the meaningful introductions she’s facilitated -they’ve been life-changing for me. In addition to being a gifted moderator and connector,

Stephanie is also a skilled mindfulness and mindful movement teacher. I had the opportunity to experience one of her qigong practices and was deeply moved by her practical, grounded, and effective approach to calming the nervous system and bringing more ease and joy into daily life.

Stephanie leads with a compassionate, kind and steady presence. She is a thoughtful leader and someone who makes everyone around her better. Anyone who has the opportunity to work with Stephanie, whether through her mindfulness teaching, facilitation, or leadership, will be better for it."

"Stephanie is one of the most engaging and calming speakers I have ever had the pleasure of viewing virtually. Her energy floats through the screen and you can almost feel it!

Over the last year, I’ve attended dozens of virtual presentations but none like what Stephanie delivered. She spoke to my organization on the benefits of wellness, mindfulness, and meditation. She used both common practices and also introduced a handful of new tactics to engage our audience. She seamlessly interacted with our group through a computer screen and made us feel as though we were sitting in a live audience!

She has this natural ability to make you want to listen to what she has to say and feel comfortable when invited to participate. Stephanie certainly knows how to bring a group of people together in not only a compelling manner, but one where even weeks after her presentation many of her words are left ringing in my ear as small reminders from the lessons she left us with.

I can’t recommend Stephanie enough and only hope I’m lucky enough to hear her speak again soon!"
